Exciting news!! Me and the central medicine wheel (with embedded geometry) from my Indigenous Iconic Earth Altar  are going to Ireland this summer!

It will be on exhibit at the Boole Library from August 21-28th as part of a bicentenary celebration (1815-2015) of George Boole (my Great Great Grandfather). This ongoing event is taking place at the University College Cork, where he was Professor of Mathematics. Known as the forefather of the Information Age, Boole was a mathematical genius who was largely self-taught. His appointment as the first Professor of Mathematics at this college in 1849 provided the opportunity to develop his most important work, An Investigation of the Laws of Thought. This gigantic celebration features a Genealogy project, renovation of Boole’s former home to be used as a centre for scientific innovation and incubation, major international conferences in mathematics and computer science, UCC Library exhibitions of Boole papers and artefacts, educational outreach, a documentary of Boole’s life and legacy, commissioned artistic installation and musical composition, and the founding of a new research institute during 2015, as The UCC George Boole Institute, to foster interdisciplinary research in Boole-related disciplines. The UCC Glucksman Gallery will host an exhibition of art works relating to Boolean themes.
