Exciting news!! Me and the central medicine wheel (with embedded geometry) from my Indigenous Iconic Earth Altar \u00a0are going to Ireland this summer!<\/p>\n

It will be on exhibit at the\u00a0Boole Library from August 21-28th as part\u00a0of a bicentenary\u00a0celebration (1815-2015) of George Boole (my Great Great Grandfather).\u00a0This ongoing event is taking\u00a0place at the University College Cork,\u00a0where he was\u00a0Professor of Mathematics.\u00a0Known as the forefather of the Information Age, Boole was a mathematical genius who was largely self-taught. His appointment as the first Professor of Mathematics at this college in 1849 provided the opportunity to develop his most important work,\u00a0An Investigation of the Laws of Thought<\/em>.\u00a0This gigantic celebration features a\u00a0Genealogy project, renovation of Boole\u2019s former home to be used as a centre for scientific innovation and incubation,\u00a0major international conferences in mathematics and computer science,\u00a0UCC Library exhibitions of Boole papers and artefacts, educational\u00a0outreach, a\u00a0documentary of Boole\u2019s life and legacy, commissioned\u00a0artistic installation\u00a0and musical composition, and the founding of a\u00a0new research institute during 2015, as The UCC George Boole Institute, to foster interdisciplinary research in Boole-related disciplines. The UCC Glucksman Gallery will host an exhibition of art works relating to Boolean themes.<\/div>\n
