In this Fiber Study series I’m experimenting with fabric combinations, digital printing of background layers, joining methods and embellishment options. This sample mainly explores the contrast/interaction between the digitally printed organic backdrop surface elements and the overlaid circuit imagery in the shape of a Thunderbird icon.
Medium: mixed media fiber composite using cotton cloth, canvas, photos, mesh, acrylic painting, digital editing, digital fabric printing, string, velcro and hand and machine stitching.
