This quadrant corresponds to the setting of the sun in the evening and the parallel stage of mature adulthood. This western black quarter (wind, spirit) represents transport on the spiritual plane. This portion of the wheel is the realm of the dead ancestors and the time of honoring the dead through ceremony (Day of the Dead). Whether in Peru, Mexico or North America, the Cult of the Dead takes expression in this way.
