RAW Showcase Related News-Logo Design Progression
I redesigned my art business logo as part of the preparation for the RAW showcase. I took the center of the eye part of my existing logo and placed it onto a drawing I did of a shell gorget (a traditional art material from the olden days of Indigenous North America). So this is really more like a logo design progression, rather than a re-make.
The spiraling center is inspired by pottery designs I’ve seen over and over right from here (NC)! It’s like a medicine wheel, but also represents a traveler’s/seeker’s path “back to the center” so to speak. Of course, it moves counterclockwise as per our tradition (I was not aware of this at first). I overlaid the entire image with birch bark texture.
