This is a traditionally themed work about the “Old Indian World.” It depicts the realms of the upper world and the under world which are connected by a vertical pole known as the Axis Mundi, equivalent to the universal ‘Tree of Life’ or ‘Celestial Tree’ concept. “Great Tree-Mound Culture” represents the existence of an ancient ‘Southeastern Ceremonial Complex’ in the southeastern region of what is now the United States, where there were many temple mounds and large towns with sophisticated governing systems and intensive agriculture. These municipalities existed across the North American continent and began to disperse into smaller settlements before the arrival of European explorers.
You will definitely be making a statement with this historical/cultural print on your wall !
