“In Light And Sound- The Fourth Day, we are inside facing out, outside looking down, traveling to the sky. This piece is about the fourth day of fasting and dancing at a sun dance ceremony as it was described to me. It’s a vision of an altered state of consciousness. It was inspired by the sound of the drum beating steady at a weekend powwow. The big blue streaks are the drum beats loud with vibration. The sound of the drum reverberates in my mind and is heard for days past the powwow. I’ve returned to the ‘work a day’ world, but my mind is still there.”
